Beacon Street Interceptor Service Area Sewer System Rehabilitation Project WPCA 2014-1

WATER POLLUTION CONTROL AUTHORITY FOR THE CITY OF NORWALK
BEACON STREET INTERCEPTOR SERVICE AREA SEWER SYSTEM REHABILITATION PROJECT – WPCA 2014-1

The Water Pollution Control Authority for the City of Norwalk (WPCA)  solicited bids to provide all materials, equipment, labor and supervision for sanitary sewer system rehabilitation, including trenchless rehabilitation in 8-inch through 18-inch diameter sewer pipe, cleaning and pre- and post-rehabilitation closed circuit television inspection; grinding  of service connections; testing and chemical sealing of pipe joints; chemical sealing of service connections; cured-in-place spot repairs (CIPSR); cured-in-place pipe lining (CIPPL); reinstatement of service connection (post-CIPPL); and manhole rehabilitation. Manhole rehabilitation includes cleaning, plugging covers, reset/replace frames and covers, chimney repair and sealing, monolithic and epoxy lining, chemical sealing of walls, joints, pipe connections, benches/inverts, and rebuilding of benches/inverts in the Beacon Street Interceptor Service Area.

Sealed bids were received at the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Norwalk, at the City Hall, 125 East Avenue, Norwalk, Connecticut 06856-5125 on 2:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2014. Heitkamp Inc., Pipeline Rehabilitation submitted the apparent low bid of $1,748,239.10 and has been sent the notice of award.
