WPCA 2012-1 Pump Station SCADA Telemetry System Project 

This project includes the installation of a new telemetry system to monitor 22 sanitary sewer pump stations and three stormwater pump stations throughout the City of Norwalk.  The system is to be integrated into the Water Pollution Control Facility’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system by means of UHF radio signal from the pump stations to seven access points which will transmit the signals through the City’s fiber optic network. In addition to the installation of new telemetry equipment, the project also includes various upgrades to each of the pump station’s instrumentation and control systems along with associated civil, structural and electrical work.

Sealed bids were received at the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Norwalk, at the City Hall, 125 East Avenue, Norwalk, Connecticut 06856-5125.  Bids were opened on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 2:30 PM and Aaron Associates submitted the apparent low bid of $865,838.00 and was sent the notice of award September 26, 2012.
